1. Explain Putnams version of (Turing Machine) functionalism.
2. Explain how Putnams theory differs from the identity theory (the view that mental states are physical/chemical states of the brain) and why Putnam thinks his version of functionalism is better than the identity theory. Is Putnam right?
3. Explain Blocks objection to a theory like Putnams. Who is right and why?
